Code Buckets is metered in tokens: 1,000,000 a month and 1 backup on every plan, with storage from 10 GB (Free) to 2 TB (Ultra).
Tokens
A Code Buckets token is the unit of API usage:

JSON request and response bodies (listing, previewing files, events) cost only the request token.
Examples:
- Listing projects: 1 token.
- Uploading a 100 MiB zip: 7 chunks → 7 requests + 100 MiB of data = 107 tokens, plus 2 for starting and completing.
- Downloading a 1 GB asset: about 1,025 tokens.
In the Console, browsing is free; data you upload or download there counts 1 token per MiB. Every API response includes an X-Codebuckets-Tokens header with what that request used.

The month runs on the UTC calendar. When the month's tokens are used up, requests answer 402 quota_exceeded until the next month. An upload that would go past your plan's storage answers 402 storage_full in the Console. Need more? Contact us.
