Models

SuperCosmos 1.1 is the model behind everything you build with Clatter Labs. It comes in three efforts that trade speed and cost for depth, and every effort has its own price.

Size and context window

SuperCosmos is a mixture-of-experts model: each token runs through only part of the network (the active parameters), which keeps it fast for its size. Efforts share the model's weights and context window. Line CLI compacts a long conversation automatically at about 80% of the window.

What an effort is

An effort is how much work the model puts into each step: how long it thinks before acting, how carefully it plans and checks, and how many tokens that takes. Higher efforts reason longer and verify more, so they are slower and cost more per token. Pick the lowest effort that does the job, and move up when a task keeps failing its own checks or needs a plan across many files.

• Agent API: set tier on POST /v1/runs (auto, flash, max, heavy).
• Line CLI: /effort picks the effort (or line -e <effort>).
• Model API: each effort is its own model id, like supercosmos-max (Model API).

SuperCosmos

Model ids are supercosmos-flash, supercosmos-max and supercosmos-heavy. With auto, each call is routed and billed at the effort it actually ran on; Agent API runs on auto bill as Flash. See the SuperCosmos overview.

Long-context input above 262K tokens: 1.5×: a request whose prompt is over 262K tokens bills its whole input at 1.5× the rate above.

Output includes reasoning tokens. In Line CLI, usage counts toward your plan's usage limits at the price of the effort each call ran on. Model API and Agent API calls are paid from your credits; Agent API runs also pay for computer time and actions (see Rates).
