# Install Line CLI

> One command on macOS, Linux and Windows. Line updates itself.

## Sign in

```bash
line login
```

Line opens a sign-in with your Clatter Labs account (the **Line CLI** app). Approve it once; Line keeps the session on your machine. `line logout` signs out.

## Start

```bash
cd your-project
line
```

Run `/init` in a new project so Line writes a short guide to the codebase it can read in later sessions.

## Update

```bash
line update
```

`line update` and the install script always fetch the latest release, with checksums verified. What changed in each version is in the [changelog](/changelog).
